PRP is an injection where your own blood is used. A small amount of blood is drawn up into a syringe. The blood is spun in a special centrifuge to separate its components. When PRP is injected into the treatment area it causes a mild inflammation that triggers the healing cascade. As the platelets organise in the treatment area, they release several enzymes to promote healing and tissue responses including attracting stem cells and growth factors to repair the damaged area. PRP aims to induce a remodelling of the tissue to a healthier and younger state. 

Used to treat scaring, fine lines and wrinkles, stimulate hair growth and etc.

Generally, 2-3 treatments are advised, however, more may be necessary for some individuals. Touch up treatments may be done once a year after the initial group of treatments to boost and maintain the results.

Please be well hydrated prior to the procedure. Be aware it is recommended to leave the plasma on topically for 4-8 hours minimum.

Follow-up appointments are important because everyone's anatomy is unique and reacts differently to treatment. While some people may see optimal results within a week, others may require additional adjustments or touch-ups. These adjustments will come at an additional cost. Despite the treatment RN Kay prides herself on perfectionism and encourages her clients to book in two weeks post treatment for a simple check in!
